Apple enabled the Emoji icons in the iPhone OS 2.2 for iPhone users Only in Japan on the Softbank network.  For users outside of Japan, we can’t activate the icons. Steven Troughton-Simth, a 19 year old software developer able to enable Emoji.  You need to edit the file /User/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Preferences.plist on the device. You can use a jailbreak to achieve this or merely some iTunes backup editor. Add the following boolean key as ‘true’:KeyboardEmojiEverywhere 

How to Pair Your iPhone 3G Bluetooth Device

You have to put both your Bluetooth device and the iPhone in “pairing mode”. 
  1. Set your Bluetooth device to discoverable.
  2. Tap Settings/General/Bluetooth, and Make sure that ‘Bluetooth’ is set to “ON” and not “OFF”. 
  3. It will ask you for a passkey. You are be ready to use the Bluetooth device with your iPhone.

Like most cell phone cameras, the iPhone’s camera lens is poor - sluggish shutter, and no image stabilization. When we take photos, it make blurry images common. Here are some tips to make the photo better. 

  • Hold Very Still-movement of any kind results in blur.
  • Get the Light Right- The iPhone needs plenty of light.
  • The iPhone takes the picture, when the Shutter button is released. First place your finger on the Shutter button first, adjust the camera angle and compose the shot, then release to shoot.

When you play your music, the default buttons along the bottom are: Playlists, Artists, Songs, and Videos. If you tap More, you will see the the completely list - Albums, Podcasts, Audiobooks, Genres, Composers, Compilations, Playlists, Artists, Songs, and Videos. You can configure the list and replace the default buttons.

  1. Tap the Edit button on upper-left corner.
  2. Drag an icon you like to replace directly onto the existing icon 
  3. Tap Done, you’ll see that the new icon has replaced the old one.

You may think the iPhone’s white stereo earbuds is same as  regular iPod’s. It got me mixed up too. The iPhone’s earbuds have a tiny switch to control your phone calls and music playback.

  • To answer your incoming call, Pinch once. Pinch for a few seconds, your call will go to voicemail. 
  • To pause your music, pinch once to pause; pinch again to resume playback. Double-pinch go to the next song.

We usually charge my iphone if the battery is low. It’s good to know exactly when the device is fully charged. We will have more battery time to play our favorite game, and emailing, and chatting. Here is how you can tell from the battery icon on upper-right corner of status bar. When the iPhone is completely charged, the lightning bolt will change to a plug.

When you send an email from your iphone, It is set to “Sent from my iphone” by default and appears at the end of email messages you send?. What if you don’t want the default message and use my own signature. It’s pretty simple. Tap Settings>>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>> Signature. Change the signature to be blank or your own message. Voila!
