Opera Mini Denied in iPhone App Store

October 30, 2008 by Wilson

Here we go again. Apple denied Opera Mini to run on the iPhone 3G because it competes with the built-in Safari browser. According to the New York Times

Mr. von Tetzchner, CEO of the company, said that Opera’s engineers have developed a version of Opera Mini that can run on an Apple iPhone, but Apple won’t let the company release it because it competes with Apple’s own Safari browser.

This isn’t the first time. Apple also blocked email and podcasts applications as threatening dominance before. It’s abit disappointed. What you think?
